I don't really care for the speech, but it serves it's purpose. In reality anyone who gave this speech, even though it makes fairly logical sense and fails to actually mention any specific religion, would probably get shot. I doubt anyone would follow him. I would... but I made the character. Of course, it's entirely possible that his voice of reason in a time of terrible tragedy may be enough to sway the people, to gather the mob. The Mob is the true power in all countries. If you can lead the mob, you lead the country. |

 | In case you havn't noticed, I havn't been updating. I didn't mean to leave everyone out in the cold, but, well, I have a pretty good excuse. I had surgery on my ankle and it was difficult to stay on my computer long enough to write anything for the first 6 weeks or so and by the time I could spend any time on my PC I realized that my story is not going anywhere. I guess I'm really good at background detail, decent at characterization and I totally suck at plot. I have not plot for this story. I have a generalized direction I want the story to go but it's about the same as throwing a dart from Earth and trying to hit Mars. | |
